What makes Paris Marathon Unique?

The Schneider Electric Marathon de Paris has grown to become one of the world's largest marathons, both in terms of field size and runner performance. Each finisher takes amazing memories with them when they leave.

Nearly 145 countries and around 60,000 runners compete in the world's most prestigious long-distance event.

In April, this race across Paris, which passes via the Champs Elysées, the Bois de Vincennes, and Boulogne, provides an unrivalled setting, complete with stunning views and landmarks.

Route of Schneider Electric Marathon de Paris

The Paris Marathon 2022 is one of the world's most beautiful races. It's tough to set world records here because the path isn't as flat as it is in Berlin and London.

The Champs-Elysées Avenue serves as the starting line for this fantastic city Marathon. Runners descend and circle the Place de la Concorde before turning right onto Rue de Rivoli.

The path then travels through the Tuileries Gardens and the Louvre Museum, circles the Place de la Bastille, and continues on to Boulevard Soult, which leads to the Bois de Vincennes.

A broad loop through the Bois de Vincennes brings participants to the city's centre and the halfway mark, Rue de Charenton.

The interior section follows the Seine River's flow, passing past Ile de la Cité, beneath the Pont Neuf, and across a network of tunnels. Trocadéro, which faces the Eiffel Tower, has a huge beverages station and foot massage.

The route then continues along the Seine before splitting east towards the Bois de Boulogne, eventually arriving on the Avenue Foch for the closing 200 metres and the finish line.

Note: The Paris Marathon has a total elevation of 220 metres.
